SEOUL kyrie 2 huarache pas cher , May 23 (Xinhua) -- An unidentified flying object from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) crossed an eastern border with South Korea Tuesday afternoon, Seoul's military said.


The South Korean military detected an unidentified projectile crossing the military demarcation line in Cheorwon, Gangwon province at about 4 p.m. local time (0700 GMT), according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).


The Seoul military conducted a warning broadcast and fired warning shots toward the flying object in accordance with proper procedures, the JCS said in a statement.

The statement said the military strengthened its air observation and maintained its defense readiness.


According to local media reports, the South Korean military estimated that the flying object may have been an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the DPRK.


The projectile, which was detected in the military radar, flew at a relatively low speed, lowering the possibility that it was a cannonball or an artillery shell.


The South Korean troops reportedly fired around 90 warning shots with their K-3 machine gun.


The latest warning shots against the DPRK projectile was fired in January last year when a DPRK UAV crossed the military demarcation line in the western border.
