What are FQHCs?
FQHC’s are community based organizations and are funded under the Health Center Consolidation Act (Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act). They are a reimbursement designation from the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
FQHCs should provide their services to all people – with or without the ability to pay for those services.
