Richard Mille RM 74-01 and RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon Watches



The Richard Mille RM 74-01 and RM 74-02 are truly unique watches for women.

They perfectly combine style and technology, housing a sophisticated skeletonized tourbillon movement in a tonneau-shaped case whose unique beauty is derived from the fusion of precious metals and high-tech materials.

The RM 74-01 is made of grey cermet, which is particularly suitable for the case due to its excellent corrosion and scratch resistance. Combining the lightness of titanium with the hardness of ceramic, grey cermet consists of a zirconium matrix with high-performance ceramic inserts. Its hardness is comparable to that of diamond. The case middle, bridges and bottom plate in grade 5 titanium are harmoniously integrated into the case structure.

The RM 74-02 features another material unique to Richard Mille watchmaking: Gold Carbon TPT. The technical challenge here was to combine a unique composite material (Carbon TPT) with a precious metal (gold foil). The result is a striking contrast between the matte black of carbon fiber and the radiant sheen of gold. The case middle is in red gold with polished posts, while the crown is surrounded by gold.

The two watches are powered by the brand's in-house CRMT6 movement in the RM 74-01 and the CRMT5 movement in the RM 74-02. The baseplate and bridges of the former are made of grade 5 titanium treated with PVD and electroplasma, while the latter is made of gold and red gold.

Each movement is equipped with a tourbillon regulator and a free-sprung balance to ensure that the rapid-winding barrel provides continuous energy with a power reserve of up to 50 hours. The movement's energy comes from a variable-geometry rotor that adjusts the winding method according to the wearer's activity level.
